What I Need to Learn Before Learning PHP?

What I Need to Learn Before Learning PHP?

In order to learn PHP, you need to have a good understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript and JQuery. You also need patience for the learning process and an understanding of how to work in a Unix environment. Finally, being aware of the developer community is important because it helps you find out about different tutorials available online.

1. Understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript and JQuery.

In order to learn PHP, you need to understand some basic programming languages. You should be familiar with HTML and CSS, which are used to create web pages. The World Wide Web is built on these two languages. HTML (Hypertext Markup Language) gives us the structure of our pages: how they look, where things go, and what they do when a user clicks on something or types something into an input field. CSS (Cascading Style Sheets) gives us control over the presentation of our content: colors, fonts, images—everything from text size to background color and layout style is determined by CSS rules in your code.

HTML basically tells your browser which parts of your page should be visible at any given time; it's also what lets you add links between different parts of your page so that users can navigate around more easily—this is how you make sure someone doesn't get stuck on only one part for too long! If we wanted them to see all kinds of different info instead all at once then we could use sections instead which would allow them options like opening new windows without losing track where they were before."

2. Loads of Patience.

Your first projects will not be perfect, and that’s okay. You can’t learn anything until you try it for yourself.

You will spend hours researching and debugging problems that seem to have no solution.

You will spend hours reading documentation, forums and Stack Overflow (a great resource).

3. Awareness of the Developer Community.

The developer community is one of the best resources you can use to learn. There are many experts in the community that are willing to help out by sharing their experiences and knowledge, both good and bad.

Be sure to share your code with others in the community so they can give you feedback on it, or even learn from it! This is a great way for you to receive constructive criticism about your code, which will help improve it over time.

4. An Understanding of How to Work in a Unix Environment.

The next thing you need to learn is how to work in the Unix environment. When I say this, I am not referring to the old-school MacOS or Linux. Rather, I'm talking about an operating system that is based on Unix (a multi-user system).

Unix was created by Dennis Ritchie in 1969 at AT&T Bell Labs and is open source. It's a command-line based operating system where tasks are performed using text commands instead of graphical user interfaces (GUI).

This sounds intimidating at first but it really isn't that bad once you get used to it; especially since there are some nice editors available for editing code within such environments like Vim or Emacs for example (which are both available for every major OS).

When you have mastered the basics, you can move onto learning advanced concepts like Object Orientated Programming (OOP).

After you have learned the basic PHP concepts, you can move onto learning OOP (Object Oriented Programming). This is one of the most important aspects of web development and will allow you to create more advanced websites.
